The SEC can be freely joined by anyone in the College of Engineering. There are four types of memberships:
Anyone can apply to be a member at large, or an executive board member. However, to be a society rep you must be a member of a member society of the SEC, and to be qualified to run for a director position, you must already be a member of the SEC. We encourage all students in the College of Engineering to join or volunteer with the SEC during their time at Virginia Tech, and all applications are welcome.
