Who can log in?

Anyone with a Virginia Tech PID can log in (Note: we use PIDs, not student ID numbers) using their PID and their Virginia Tech password. Thanks to the fine folks in VT's CNS department, the SEC uses the univerisity's unified login system to authenticate its users.

Do I need to register?

If you have not logged in with the SEC before, you will have an account automatically created for you when you use your Virginia Tech credentials.

What information is stored?

We store the following information related to our users who log in and create accounts:

• Hokie PID
• Name (first and last)
• Major at Virginia Tech
• A unique identifier based on student ID
• An email address based on your PID (e.g., PID@vt.edu) - you are free to update or delete this at any time

Your password is never saved by our system in any form.
