Responsibilities:

The Publicity Committee Chair creates all SEC promotional materials and promotes all SEC events to the Virginia Tech engineering student body while constantly looking to expand the public's knowledge of the SEC. The Publicity Committee Chair has the responsibility to manage the SEC Brand Guidelines and collaborate with engineering organizations to publicize events.

Background:

Forrest Meng is from Fairfax Virginia, and is a student in the third cohort of the Calhoun Honors Discovery Program. He has an interest in integrating technology into human applications, from haptics to cobotics. Forrest is currently a member of the BOLT Electric Motorcycle controls team and Haptic Tactics, a CHDP student research team focusing on advancing aerospace manufacturing processes with mixed reality. Outside of engineering, Forrest is the secretary for Art Club at Virginia Tech, and enjoys going to the gym, photography, drawing, playing games, and various types of music.
