Responsibilities
The Engineers' Week Chair is responsible for observing and celebrating National Engineers Week at Virginia Tech as it pertains to the SEC’s four pillars. This week consists of a series of events intended to honor and bring attention to the contributions engineers make to society, while also providing a much-needed break from their academic duties. This year, the week will involve games and competitions, a distinguished lecture, and more!

Background
Miguel is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and came to Virginia Tech to pursue Industrial and Systems Engineering. Academically, Miguel is interested in continuous improvement and space systems. He currently serves on the officer board of the VT IISE Student Chapter, is an ISE Ambassador, and is an active member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Outside of academics, he enjoys the outdoors, bouldering, and thrifting.
