Responsibilities

The SEC president oversees the organization, this includes managing the SEC Executive Board, facilitiating the relationship between SEC and the university, college, and departments, as well as being the spokesman of the organization. The SEC president has the responsibility to ensure that the organziation is working toward our mission and upholding our four pillars: professionalism, phillanthropy, repersentation, and social.

Background

Anthony Mistichelli is from Howard County, Maryland and came to Virginia Tech to explore his interests in the Aersopace and Defence industry. Being the son of two public servants in the D.C. Metropolitain area, Anthony knew that he was going to use his skills in science and mathematics to give back to advance the nationals millitary and defence sector. Anthony is exciting to be graduating in the spring of 2022 and starting his full-time job at Lockheed Martin supporting a research lab in Undersea Warfare. Outside of his professional life, Anthony enjoys kayaking, fishing, and almost anything on the water.
