Responsibilities:

The Expo Chair is responsible for directing all aspects of the Engineering Exposition at Virginia Tech. The goals of the Expo Chair are to continuously improve and grow the Virginia Tech Engineering Expo. This is done through recruiting companies, preparing and maintaining company registration, preparing student volunteers, providing meals for company representatives, overseeing interviews, and coordinating transportation from parking lots and select hotels to all Expo locations.

Background:

Ghaleeb Hakim is from Fairfax County, Virginia, and came to Virginia Tech to pursue his passions in technology and physics. Ghaleeb is currently the President of Virginia Tech’s e-NABLE club, in which he creates assistive devices for adults and children with medical conditions. He also takes part in several research teams, where he is developing live phased array microphonic systems and autonomously detecting microplastics in food. Outside of his professional work, Ghaleeb enjoys sports, filmmaking, and playing musical instruments.
