First-Year Experience Committee
About
The First-Year Experience Committee is a select group of individuals interested in leadership development with the Student Engineers' Council, cultivating social and informative events for first-year engineering students, and building a network with alumni and executive leadership in the College of Engineering.
First-Year Experience Committee members are mentored and guided by SEC Executive leadership and are given opportunities to broaden their professional skill sets. Though selective, the First-Year Committee has proven continuously the way a student's trajectory successfully changes at the Virginia Tech College of Engineering.
The 2024-2025 First-Year Experience Committee consists of Shiloh Carmack and Aanchal Paranthaman.
If you are interested in event planning, growing your network, and developing your professional skills, join the listserv and apply for the First-Year Experience Committee.
