Responsibilities

The Freshman Chair is in charge of recruiting and leading the Freshman Leadership Board (FLB). The FLB is a team of eight engineering freshmen to organize professional development, service and social events for engineering freshmen.

Background

Supriya is from Ashburn, Virginia and came to Virginia Tech to pursue an education in Biomedical Engineering with a specific interest in neuroprosthetic design and research. She chose Virginia Tech for its prestigious engineering program as well as the extensive professional opportunities that are offered here. In addition to her education, Supriya is involved at the university as an undergraduate researcher in stem cell and rodent disease model. In her free time, she likes to read, watch Netflix, and spend time with her friends.
