SEC Scholarship
$10k to 3 students ($30k total)
Background
The Student Engineers' Council (SEC) Scholarship was created in 2020 as a way of providing a yearly scholarship of $10,000 ($5,000 a semester) to Pell Grant-eligible students in the College of Engineering. The scholarship provides a first-year student with a scholarship for up to their following three years of undergraduate engineering studies at Virginia Tech. We aim to award a passionate and well rounded student who has excelled at Virginia Tech, in organizations, and the workforce.
The scholarship is renewable for up to two additional years, provided the recipient is still Pell Grant-eligible, maintains at least a 3.3 GPA, and is still studying as a full-time undergraduate student in a degree-granting major in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech.
